Introduction to the deal
Our client is a fast-growing industrial recruitment business headquartered in the South West, supplying high-volume temporary labour to warehousing, logistics and distribution companies across the UK.

Operating a labour-intensive model, the business employs hundreds of temporary workers who are paid weekly, while client invoices can take up to 60 days to be settled. This lag in payment created ongoing cash flow pressure and limited the company’s ability to take on new contracts and expand further.

In addition, the business needed to transition from its existing funder, who stopped working with them due to a change in policy which meant they could no longer get funding. This meant they needed a new funding partner to support their continued growth.

What We Did
We provided a £1.8m Confidential Invoice Finance facility to replace the existing funder and deliver a stable, scalable working capital solution.

We worked closely with the client to ensure a smooth transition between funders, minimising disruption to day-to-day operations. The facility was also designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for a planned increase to £2.0m ahead of their seasonal trading periods. Without our funding, the business would face cash flow bottlenecks during peak temporary worker periods (e.g., Christmas, Easter).

We also supported the business in strengthening its payroll arrangements ahead of upcoming legislative changes due to be implemented at the end of the tax year, helping to ensure continued compliance.

Outcome of the Deal
Our funding has provided the business with consistent and reliable working capital, enabling it to pay its workforce on time while waiting for client payments.

With improved cash flow, the business can now confidently take on new contracts, expand into additional locations, and manage seasonal fluctuations in demand. The facility has positioned the company for continued growth, strengthening its ability to supply labour at scale while maintaining high service standards in a competitive Recruitment market.
