Boost for Shetland based knitwear company with £75k Asset Finance Facility
Shetland based knitwear designer and manufacturer R.A.M Knitwear has its sights set on growth with the purchase of a new Shima Seiki knitting machine, made possible with an Asset Finance facility from Time Finance.
R.A.M Knitwear design and produce a range of bespoke knitted products using surplus yarns of luxury materials such as Merino Wool, Silk and Lambswool, positioning them as a unique and sustainable manufacturer. Their new £75k Shima Seiki knitting machine has allowed them to speed up production and diversify their product range, it’s also meant that they can move to a bigger premises and activate another income stream by teaching knitting skills and knowledge to both locals and tourists.
The machine has arrived in time for the Shetland cruise season and Shetland Wool Week, which brings a number of tourists to the island each year.
