Time Finance has been named Employer of the Year in the 2020 Business Leader Awards. The achievement recognises the employer who has created a stimulating and supportive work environment for their staff and has demonstrated a commitment to their welfare.
Since its inception in 1998, the firm has grown its presence across the UK and today employs 170 employees over 6 sites. The firm is led by a senior management team who are dedicated to laying the foundations for a supportive, flexible, and inclusive place to work.
Time Finance regularly engage in new initiatives and projects to support their employees and advocate growth. Their 2020 Talent Leadership Programme was formed to create the next generation of future leaders. Inspiring growth and excellence from within, the annual 12-month programme was developed to enhance the skills of those enrolled, allowing them to deal with real business issues and benefit from an external career and leadership coach as well as one-on-one mentorship from the senior management team.
The creation of a ‘culture club’ was an initiative designed to provide a forum for the “employee voice” to capture sentiment, ideas for improvement and ways to make Time Finance a better place to work. Through local representatives, it ensures that all employees have the opportunity to shape how the business works and to inspire a supportive, inclusive and ambitious culture.
Ian Smith, CEO, Time Finance said: “We are honoured to be named Employer of the Year as it recognises the commitment we have to our employees, who are at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to grow, this recognition will no doubt help us as we look to build and expand our team of dynamic, passionate, hard-working and fun employees. Our team are empowered to contribute to delivering successful client relationships which in turn delivers growth and opportunities to our employees.”
Through what has been an uncertain and difficult year for many, Time Finance has worked hard to ensure employees continue to feel supported and secure whilst working remotely and within the office.
Smith added: “The health and wellbeing of our employees is important to us as an employer. 2020 has presented some challenging conditions for the whole UK workplace. At Time Finance, our wellbeing ambassadors have delivered regular check-ins and communications with employees to touch base and see how they are, offer support if needed and to ensure they know we are always here for them. As a business, we have never felt closer and are looking forward to resuming a more normal office life in 2021.”
