Our client is a specialist transport operator providing high quality travel services for professional sports teams and corporate groups. With a strong reputation for reliability and premium service, the business recently secured a new long term transport contract with a major Premiership Rugby club.

To deliver on the requirements of the contract and maintain the high standards expected for elite sports travel, the business needed to acquire a high spec coach equipped with premium facilities, exclusively for the travel needs of sports teams.

What We Did

Working alongside introducers Karl and Jill Kirkpatrick, we provided a £140,000 Hire Purchase facility to fund the purchase of a 2014 Vanhool coach. The vehicle came fitted with a kitchen, individual seating, and enhanced onboard amenities suitable for professional athletes.

Because the contract aligns with the rugby season, the client’s earnings are heavily weighted across nine months of the year. To support this, we structured a flexible repayment plan that matches the business’s seasonal income.

To help manage cashflow during the quieter off-season months of June, July, and August, we reduced the monthly repayments by 50 percent. The facility also included a low £5,000 deposit and a VAT deferral, easing the upfront cost and preserving working capital.
